I have been a dog walker, sitter and a home boarding provider for 6 years. I also have experience with horses, goats, chickens and cats. I have taken care of senior dogs, large breed dogs, puppies and adolescents. I volunteered at an animal shelter where I took many dog handling workshops. I am Fear Free certified and use a positive reinforcement, partnership based, compassionate tuning in approach when walking or otherwise interacting with animals. I strive to meet the physical and emotional needs of animals through sufficient attention, affection, exercise, and exposure to nature.

I offer boarding to one dog at a time if requested but I do host multiple dog friendly dogs. I have plenty of space in my home, comfortable places to rest and a large outdoor area to go on walks. Inside I offer enrichment activities such as scent games, interactive toys such as kongs, calming music, and lots of affection and a restful supportive environment. .

A typical day
I start off the day with breakfast then a long nature walk on which dogs are allowed and encouraged to smell as much as they like. Water us offered freely all day. When inside dogs can rest, play with toys, Kong’s, scent games and socializing. In the afternoon there is another walk, rest, dinner time then winding down to bedtime.

Availability
I currently have a part time job and I’m away from home 4 hours a day 4 days a week. On weekends, vacations and summers I have a flexible schedule to devote to the animals I have in my care.
