Pet care experience
Hi there! I am a UW grad-go Dawgs! I have just completed a pediatric residency program, and have the summer to rest and relax before starting work in a few months. In the meantime, I thought I’d have some fun hanging out with some pups, which I know Hope (our 3 year old goofball Sheepadoodle) would love. We do Rover because we absolutely love dogs, and because of the friendships (both furry and human!) we've developed over the years with our wonderful families. There's something so meaningful about taking honest, good care of someone else's beloved dog. And finding a place to trust your precious pup with is a big deal-we couldn't understand more. We dedicate all the time and love to the dogs that we sit so that they may have as much love and attention that they would from their own families. Over the many years of dog-sitting, we have met so many wonderful people and dogs...dog-sitting has been one of the most rewarding experiences over my life, thus we do Rover out of passion, not a business! You will not find us sitting more than a few dogs at once, nor will they just be here to be here...we take dogs that we can love on and have fun with! And they will be part of our family (until they go back home to yours). Hope, is just awaiting her fur-friends left and right, wondering where they all went (during the last few years with Covid plus my residency training)! We have decided to open our home again to those who will be a good fit, and will only be hosting a few dogs at once. We are home full-time, and the dogs are never left alone. They come on all our adventures with us, and more often than not the adventures are planned around and for the pups! Our pricing is set to reflect the time and dedication that the pups get while staying with us. We spend all day with the pups: playing with them, walking them, sitting by their side...we treats each pup like our own. Details: * We never leave the pups at home alone. *We have a fully-fenced front and (large) backyard. * The pups are let out as often as they wish! We leave the doors open and they are free to roam in and out of the house as they please. If it’s cold and the doors are closed, we let them out whenever they want (Hope goes outdoors at least 10 times a day if not more for potty breaks and outdoor play times). Our yard is large enough for lots of exploration and fun. *We are very selective (for everyone's benefit) and only take mild-mannered pups with absolutely zero-aggressive tendencies. You can be sure that your pup will only be around safe, well-socialized and sweet pups. We turn down more requests than we accept in attempts to make sure the fit is right for both parties. *We unfortunately at this time will be not be accepting pit-bull mixes/breeds. We do this as a passion and to provide a fun, safe place for our beloved fur-friends, not as a business. Please include some background info on yourself and your pup's specific temperament in your initial message. We are very selective (no aggressive tendencies, please) and aim to select families that we can trust and respect, and vice versa. We have had wonderful experiences via Rover and have met some wonderful people and pups who have turned into great friends and fur-friends! We aim to make this a good experience for both parties :) Extra details if you want to keep reading :) I've been dog-sitting for 20 years and absolutely love dogs. I'm a total dog nerd; I've read upon almost every single breed and know too much about caring for a dog (ex. dogs can't have grapes!) I am very active and will take your dog for walks, hikes, and runs. I've also trained dogs that I've cared for. I love cuddling with dogs and giving them undivided attention and lots of love! I've dog-sat a wide variety of breeds and ages ranging from 12 weeks to 13 years old. There's no better way to de-stress than to take your pup out for an adventure and spend some quality time w lots of cuddles and puppy kisses. It makes my day to come home to a happy-go-lucky, wagging tail. Life is just a little bit better when there's a four legged friend always reminding you to live in the moment and that you are loved unconditionally. I love meeting other dog lovers~most usually have the sweetest souls. Please say hello! Looking forward to meeting you and your furry best friend :)
Reviews
Marie and pup Hope and her family were the best dog sitters I could ever ask for! They sent videos and photos every day showing how playful, active and content my lab Drake was in their home. Highly recommend them.
I was nervous dropping Squid off because he's a large, high-energy puppy. I was reassured by all of the photos and videos. Squid had such a great time running around Maria and Jeong's yard and hiking through trails. He came home exhausted, which after a day of traveling is the best thing you can ask for. Next time I'm out of town, I'll definitely use them again :)
Maria is awesome! She took such great care of my little Leila and kept me updated on how Leila was doing daily. So happy to have found Maria! Best dog sitter ever! :)
This is our third time for using Maria. She and her family are always welcome to my dog Coco. I love the pictures that she was sending while I was away from Coco. They took care of her very well especially Maria's mom. Coco loves her so much. I really appreciate her and really comfortable to leave my baby for their house. Thank you again!!!!
