I have been dog sitting and walking my friends' dogs over the past few years and have made several furry friends. I like to be active and thought it would be fun to have a running buddy. Of course, it would all depend on what your puppy likes: do we go for a little run or a slow stroll through the neighborhood. I am also currently volunteering at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter and being trained in reading dog behavior and body language. It's interesting to get to know the individual personalities of the dogs. One of the dogs I walk likes to stop and sniff everywhere; it seems to be her form of entertainment, while others want to know what's up ahead, running along. I can easily adjust to their daily mood. It would be important for me to find out from the owners what their experiences and expectations are, so that we can make sure their dogs are having fun.
