Margrethe W. BS, CPDT-KA, ABCDT works full time with dogs conducting in-home private training and additional pet services. She is insured and bonded for your added peace of mind. Margrethe’s training philosophy is grounded in the scientifically backed positive based training, pioneered by her personal heroes Dr. Ian Dunbar, Dr. Patricia McConnell and Dr. Sophia Yin. Margrethe’s philosophy and skills are the result of rigorous training in animal behavior and handling at The University of Wisconsin Madison, Animal Behavior College, Dane County Humane Society and Petco. Margrethe offers a walk and train service and private training in addition to standard walking services and pet sitting services. Margrethe will come take your companion on a walk, or stay with your buddy while you're away and work on requested behaviors such as loose-leash walking, friendly greetings and focus. Your pup-pup will get the exercise they need while acquiring valuable behaviors with little effort on your part.

Margrethe always takes such great care of our pup. She is gentle, kind, and very knowledgeable about canines. Our dog has separation anxiety and we have no worries sending him to Margrethe, we know he’ll be in good hands!!
She sends through updates and enjoys watching my dog. She does whatever she can to make him comfortable and have a good time which is always relieving as a dog owner.
I'm so happy we found Margrethe. Bowie loves spending time at her home. He's learning basic puppy skills and he comes home happy and relaxed.

Before scheduling an initial visit I'd like to know if you are aware of any medical or behavioral concerns i.e. epilepsy or reactivity to other animals. During the initial visit I will evaluate if your companion and I are compatible and get a general visual example of temperament and behavior. No breed restrictions so if you have a Pitbull or another bully breed there's no problem.
A typical day
Beyond just socializing with your companion myself or walking in your neighborhood, your companion animal and I can engage in or provide enrichment activities including: games like find-it and fetch, treat enrichment like puzzle toy food dispensers or kongs, work on basic obedience cues like sit, down, stay, or wait, socialize your companion with humans in public places like the neighborhood park, take friendly companion animals to parks where they can socialize with other animals. Additional services subject to added fees.
