Hello, my name is Margarita. I am currently working as a veterinary technician and I’m going to school to be a veterinarian. I have had experience working with dogs and cats of all ages. Besides my professional experience, I’ve been around animals my whole life. I’ve taken care of my friends and families’ pets both cats and dogs alike and I feel confident doing so. I love working with animals, it’s definitely a passion of mine which is why I want to pursue a career in vet med. I want to take care of your fur babies in the meantime to provide them with exemplary care in my area :)

We were fortunate to find Margarita using Rover.com; specifically searching for a sitter with first aid and immunization experience. Our boy, Max the Cat has diabetes and requires injections twice a day. During our meet and greet with Margarita she arrived at our home dress in business attire, and a note pad. After our meeting with her, we knew we found the right person to care for Max. Margarita arrived each day (twice a day) on time and provided care and insulin injections in a caring and professional manner. Max walks right up to her, and instantly bonded. It’s so comforting knowing there are dedicated people like Margarita who choose pet care as a profession. We plan on having her care for Max in the future. We highly recommend her services.

My top priority is the health of your pet. I can make sure your pet is hydrated and in good health while on our walk. I’ll also make sure that the pavement isn’t too hot for your pet’s paws. If your pet prefers playtime, I can stay and play with them for upwards of half an hour to allow them to socialize or do a mix of both: a walk and playtime. I know how important it is to send regular pictures/updates seeing how I’ve used Rover before for our pet and as a pet owner I understand the anxiety that comes with somebody watching your baby. As for your home, I will make sure the door is locked once I leave and that your pet has enough water and food if it is feeding time. I will also leave a light on for your pet if you prefer and will let you know as soon as I leave your home.

For me it is important to know if your pet is up to date on vaccines and if they are good with people. I can accommodate for any special needs they have, I’ll just need to hear some background about it and I’ll be good to go. I would also like to know if they are dog friendly so I know if it’s okay to socialize them with other pups or if you’d prefer not to.
A typical day
I love to play with pups! I know games that help stimulate their mind and to wear them out. I’ll give them cuddles if that’s what they prefer and make sure they feel as comfortable as possible. I take being a pet sitter very seriously because it’s what I’d like for people to do for my own pup.

I am currently going to school and working part time. I am free most evenings during the week after 5-6 pm. On weekends, I am free Saturdays after 3pm and all day on Sunday.
