Pet care experience
I'm Margie, a mom of 2 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 extremely dog-savy cats. I have been a dog owner my whole life, and we live in a nice neighborhood in McCandless, with a FENCED yard, near North Park's off-leash dog park. My husband Bill is a natural with dogs and has been consulted for help with training and managing behavior issues by friends and family. Our three dogs love to cuddle and play and get along well with all sizes and shapes of dogs. The cats love to play with our dog guests too! We have many clients who are amazed to receive photos of their "non-cat-friendly" dogs actually playing and cuddling with our cats! Our two kids are ages 13 & 15, and they are great helpers. My daughter handles the dog-walking clients for $15/30-min walk. While I do work from home a couple days a week, Bill and I both work full time, so your pup needs to be able to be alone for up to 6 hours on weekdays. We will provide a safe, loving home-away-from-home so you can enjoy your travels worry-free!

This was our first time using Rover, we are lucky to have found Margret, Sparky is a shy dog and we were nervous on how he would handle it, especially for 4+ days, Margie arranged for a meet and greet a few days before the stay and after meeting Margie, Bill and their really friendly pets, we were confident that Sparky would be fine. After we dropped Sparky on the 19th, Margie kept us updated daily, sent us pictures and that helped us enjoy our vacation. I am sure Sparky had a great time too. Thanks Margie and Bill!!
Margaret was fantastic with our little guy, we received several update pictures during our trip and it looked like he was having a blast! We will absolutely be back again.
Charlee had a wonderful stay with Margaret and her family! We received daily updates and pictures. Charlee came home happy and exhausted, 2 very good things!
Margie is very responsive and offered a meet and greet for Tillie and I ahead of her stay! She sent photos showing Tillie having fun with the other dogs through the weekend. A slight miscommunication around pick up times meant I had to book a night more than I planned and requested when the booking was accepted but overall Margie was reassuring, caring and good to work with.

A typical day
We love to be outside as much as possible. We play lots of tug and catch. We have a lab-sized dog and two Chihuahua-mix dogs, so there are several playmates to choose from!

I work from home one or two days a week and my kids are home by 3pm on school days. Bill has his own handyman business so he makes his own schedule. We try not to leave our guests unattended for more than 4 hours.
