I love animals. My family had pets from the time I was a child. We couldn’t have dogs due to allergies, but we had fish, white and hooded rats, and cats—and I would often go play with the neighbor’s dog. I also loved spending time on farms and helping care for horses. As an adult I have had cats, and I currently help care for my sister’s adorable golden doodle puppy. I’m a substitute teacher who’s also an outdoor enthusiast—so when I’m not working I’d definitely be open to sharing Minnesota’s great outdoors and fresh air with your fur baby if that’s their thing! I have done house- and pet-sitting for friends and neighbors with a variety of animals and have volunteered at farms/ranches. Some more memorable adventures include dog-sitting for fifteen dogs at once, including two litters of puppies; watching my friend’s 90 lb. Schutzhund trained boxer; and helping care for 27 baby goats! I will get to know your pet as an individual. Like with human children in the classroom where I adapt to their unique needs, I also vary my interactions with animals based on their different needs and personalities. Whether it’s walks, play, petting & cuddles, or even bottle-feeding, I like enjoying quality moments with animal friends!
