Forest Getaway for Dogs!
Pet care experience
My husband and I love caring for animals of all kinds and have years of experience with dogs. I've cared for all types: from Great Pyrs to Bichon Frises to Basset Hounds. I love big dogs for their energy and physicality. I own an adult Great Pyrenees; his name is Bear. Bear is a friendly, submissive dog and a great playmate, perfect for dogs who need some time to play with another canine. Our house is a great choice if you want to send your dog on a vacation just as fun as your own!
Reviews
Margaret was so communicative throughout, very easy to coordinate with and our dog came back happy and healthy!
Sadie had a blast with Margaret and Bear. Thanks so much!

Information Margaret P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has dietary restrictions or allergies so I can keep these items off-limits and off the treat menu. Please let me know if your dog gets anxious around larger dogs so we can remove Bear from the area to his doghouse. Please let me know if your dog has any medical or psychological issues so I can modify activities appropriately, or provide special support if the dog is stressed (e.g. Thundershirt, anxiety supplement, darkened crate space in private room, etc.)
A typical day
We take the dogs on trail hikes and enjoy access to a variety of nature trails within walking distance of the house. Alex loves to take the dogs to Noanet Pond and can run with the dogs. Dogs with reliable recall will go outside with me off-leash to play fetch and run laps. (Those that don't have reliable recall can come out to play on a long lead.)

Availability
I work 9-2 at a nearby church, allowing me ample time in the morning to walk and feed dogs. My husband Alex works from home, so the dogs are never left alone. Alex and I give the dogs a long walk together in the afternoon (~3-5pm) Alex also takes the dogs on trail hikes in the Hale reservation 2-3x per week (weather permitting), offering them ample exercise and time in nature. We serve dinner around 5:30pm and do a brush out in the evening to get ready for bed. We can bathe your dog/trim nails on request.
