Pet care experience
I have been in the Veterinary business caring for dogs and cats all my life until last year. I miss the interaction with the pets and their people. I’m ready to start a new aspect of pet care. My neighbors come to me with all their pet questions and I help them in any way possible.

Margaret Picone will be an invaluable asset to any job which involves the care of canines. She is an experienced breeder, show participant, former employee of veterinary hospitals ( can immediately recognize problems with dogs medically ), and has a genuine love for all breeds and contenders in the canine world. She has been a dear friend of mine for 6 years and traveled with me recently to northern Va. in order to purchase my Samoyed puppy; she helped me find the breeder and instructed and mentored me through the entire acquisition of my beloved pup! She will be a fantastic treasured employee for Rover or any canine organization for which she becomes a team member and as a registered and licensed veterinary technician for 32 years, I give her a tremendous thumbs up!
I love the compassion Margaret has for providing outstanding care for animals. She believes they are family and should be cared and loved as such. She has helped care for all my puppies. I highly recommend her for all your pet sitting needs.

We have a large, secured, fenced in yard divided into 3 fields. All connected to a barn with 2 12X12 stalls with ceiling fans, kiddie pools and beds. There is lots of room to run and play with my super friendly dog Vanilla when we are ready to accept day care dogs

I like to meet and greet before a visit is set up. This way we can get to know each other. I want to know everything about the pets. All the little quirks, if any. Sorry but I prefer not to take on Pitbull types.
A typical day
I am all about safety. We will walk in familiar places so as not to venture into danger. Stay away from busy roads. I like to reward good behavior with treats as long as the owners approve. A good game of fetch is always on the agenda.

Availability
I am a stay at home dog mom to my Borzoi Vanilla. She keeps me busy with her sporting career but I have plenty of time and need to care for other pets as well.
