Margaret is amazing! Dirk is so tired after his walk lol

TLDR: Margaret seemed like a nice enough person, but her behavior during the booked stay was unprofessional and unacceptable, so I can’t recommend her to any other dog owners at this time. First, the good: Margaret came over at 9 AM the day we were leaving and was engaged, polite and respectful. We were very impressed with her demeanor and confident she was a good fit for our animals. We left that day around 3 PM with explicit and confirmed instructions for Margaret to arrive between 5 and 7 PM to feed the animals and walk the dog. Now, the bad: Margaret did not show up between 5 and 7 PM. She didn’t show up at 8 PM either. She showed up at 11:30 PM having not responded to any of our frequent and repeated text messages asking where she was and if she was going to come over and take care of our animals. By 9 PM we had called a neighbor to take care of our dog and feed our animals since it had been quite some time. When Margaret finally showed up, she explained her phone had died while she was out to dinner with friends in SF. My wife and I were pretty shocked that she would go to SF for dinner without taking care of our animals first. We told her she could stay the night but as our dog was already in the care of a neighbor we needed her to be out first thing the next morning. Margaret was very apologetic and we trust the sincerity with that, but it definitely left a very bad taste in our mouth and we can’t in good faith recommend her.
