Pet care experience
I believe in a quiet firm tone to let animals know I am in charge. I believe quiet firm body language and words makes animals feel safe and secure. I try to read the body language of animals also and use that to work with them at their pace. I love learning about new dogs and teaching them new tricks. This stimulates their mind and is fun for them which makes them happy to learn more from me. I grew up in a home where dogs were bred and raised professionally and I have had 7 of my own dogs throughout the years. Four of my dogs were adopted as adults and had to work through emotional and behavioral problems to become wonderful dogs. I have trained on electric fences, gentle leaders, and prong collars. I prefer to use more gentle methods to work with animals, but understand that each dog has its own special style of training.

Margaret has been wonderful. I was very anxious to leave my pup and all those worries are gone after just one visit. I feel so fortunate to have such a loving, caring and responsible person watching my little Frankie.
Margaret is amazing! My cat stayed with her and her family for 9 days. She sent photos everyday and did an exceptional job at making my cat feel safe and welcome. This was my cat’s first time boarding at someone’s house and I couldn’t imagine a better person to take care of her.
This was my first time leaving Roo with someone all day and I instantly felt like I could trust Margaret! Roo came home happy and exhausted, she didn't even want to leave Margarets porch when I came to pick her up. The communication was great and I received photos/videos throughout the day and updates on how were going. This put me at ease and knowing that Roo was in great hands. Will definitely book again!
My dog loves staying with Margaret and her family and I feel confident my dog is getting the best of care while I am separated from her.

Our cat is a great training cat. We can schedule a meet and greet to see if our cat would be a good match to train your dog. I have had great experiences with sitting dogs who have never met a cat before. By the end of the day, the dogs and my cat are sleeping side by side on the floor.
