Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages and I love them all! I’ve had at least one dog since I was born and currently have a very sweet, happy 1yr old chocolate Labrador named Lincoln. I’ve been pet-sitting for friends and neighbors for years and have helped friends train their puppies. I’m currently working on training my dog to become a therapy dog and advance to other specialty skills. If you’re interested, I would be happy to help refresh your dog’s skills when they stay with me!

My dog LOVES her daycare stays with Margaret and her dog Lincoln! I started going back to the office and was looking for daycare for my girl but didn’t love the idea of her going to one of the boarding places in DC (plus they’re so pricey). With Margaret, my dog gets playtime with one other dog, constant supervision, and plenty of time outdoors - she usually gets at least 2 walks during the day, which is way more than she’d get at a daycare place! Also, Margaret is super responsive to bookings and to my messages throughout the day. Would def recommend.
I would absolutely recommend Margaret to watch my dogs anytime! She has watched my dogs both at her apartment and at my house, and my dogs always have the best time. They are excited every time we get to her apartment because they know they’re going to have a great time! She is very good at sending lots of photos and videos throughout my dogs’ stay, and it’s obvious they get a lot of time to play, walk outside, and chill out. My dogs also love her dog Lincoln, who is just the sweetest boy and plays so well with them. Definitely will be booking again!

I live in a very dog friendly apartment building next to multiple dog parks and green space. I will never let your dog off leash outside unless it’s in a secure, fenced-in area and you have explicitly said you are comfortable with that! At home, everything has been dog-proofed from when my dog was a puppy. If your dog enjoys playing and spending time with other dogs, my dog Lincoln loves other dogs and is playful but gentle with them so your dog won’t be bored! That said, I do have crates and pens if your dog needs downtime by themselves throughout the day.

We will do a meet and greet before booking, but would be great to know ahead of time! 2) Any allergies or health issues? 3) Any behavior issues I need to be aware of? 4) What is their daily schedule? 5) Anything else about your dog I should know to ensure a safe, fun experience for everyone.
A typical day
When your dog is with me, they’ll have plenty of time for walks, mental stimulation, treats, playtime, and cuddles. Since I’m working from home full time, your dog will always have supervision. Additionally, I only host one dog at a time (in addition to my own dog) during daycare so your dog will get plenty of attention and care, customized to their preferences and needs.
