Pet care experience
I am a retired business owner and have a special love for animals, especially dogs. Dogs just have a way of lifting my spirits and making me smile. I have cared for dogs off and on throughout my life. I have owned two dogs of my own. I had a small dachsund mix for a few years and a beautiful and sweet yellow lab that was a precious family member for 10 years. I love dogs and miss having one as part of the family. I have done house sitting and pet sitting for family and friends. One home on Sonoma Mountain in Santa Rosa, caring for their dog and cat and watering plants. I have cared for my sister's dogs (she has 4) and have helped her in her dog sitting/walking business. Other clients have been located in Petaluma and Novato. I have clients in Napa and Fairfield. Your pets will be well cared for and loved. I love to get out into the fresh air and walk and would love to have a companion to walk with me. I am not able to have dogs in my home, due to a family member's immune system. So, I prefer pet sitting in your home or walking your pet in your neighborhood's favorite places. When I pet sit, I am usually with your pet all the time. There may be an occasion where I have to run and errand, but my client's are always informed of anything that comes up. I am looking for occasional pet sitting/house sitting. I would love to assist you with your needs and get to know your cherished pets!

Maggie has sat for us twice in the past year, watching our three mini Labradoodle’s and our home … Both were for two week trips. Maggie is super easy to work with and to communicate with. She is easy going with a great personality and very responsible. We have been at ease the minute we step out the door till the minute we return home and don’t have to worry about how things are going with the dogs and the house. On this past trip one of our dogs needed an emergency surgery and Maggie was able to take care of everything including taking our dog up to UC Davis Veterinary medical center for emergency surgery. She stayed up with the dog all night making sure she was OK and communicated with us so we could decide what to do at every step! Our dog is back home and doing great and we are thankful Maggie was there to take care of things for us. She is very thoughtful and a wonderful sitter and person!
I can't say enough great things about Maggie. She stayed with our dog in our house for a week and took such great care of her and our home. Our dog has some anxiety issues, so Maggie met us before we left and worked hard to understand the dogs routines so that everything ran smoothly when we were gone. And it did! She is also great at keeping in touch and sending the occasional update or picture to give you peace of mind while away. I feel so lucky that we found Maggie and hope she is available for our next vacation!
Easy continual communication, and Katie was a well-behaved sweet little.
