I really enjoy adding fun to dogs' lives with walks in their own neighborhoods or by providing them with sniffari adventures in our local parks. I have over a decade of experience with a wide variety of breeds, from Chihuahuas to Mastiffs, using positive reinforcement techniques to create harmonious relationships.

I can’t rave enough about Mareth! Our girl Dani is a mill rescue and very suspicious of new people. She had never stayed anywhere but our house. After having taken training classes with Mareth I knew when Dani needed to board she would be in good hands. Mareth and her pups are gracious hosts, your dog(s) will come home happy, healthy, and tuckered! The peace of mind knowing your pups are cared for and safe is priceless.
Awesome!!! Can’t say enough good things about Mareth. She sent video updates every day to let us see how the dogs were doing. They were happy and well loved while in her care. Highly recommend!
We left our boxer pup with Mareth for 3 days. We are so relieved to find a sitter for our pup. I'm very picky as to who i leave my pup with but we knew when we went to the meet and greet our boxer was in good hands! She kept us updated the whole time we were gone. Bevause we've never left her before really put our mind at ease! Will def take her back and we highly recommend Mareth!.

I have a large fenced yard set on 6 rural acres. I also have a full-size basement that is dedicated to dog training & is also great for playtime in inclement weather. My personal dogs are well-behaved & are always monitored when other dogs are in the home. Guest dogs are generally crated overnight, but they have access to the house & fenced yard during the day. All dogs are separated for meals & when they have chewies (non-rawhide only). I also include canine enrichment for all dogs in my care, tailored to each dog’s needs & preferences.

For dogs coming to my home, I require all client dogs to be on a monthly flea, tick, & heartworm preventative, to have a recent negative fecal exam & to stay up to date on their core vaccinations. Titer tests, proving sufficient immunity, are acceptable for those who prefer a minimal vaccination policy. I also need to know about any behavior issues (including fight & bite histories) the dog has, training the owner has done (if any), & medical conditions (including food & seasonal allergies).
A typical day
We have 6 acres & I take my dogs out to run & explore everyday. We also frequent Delaware Preservation Parks & nearby state parks regularly. Client dogs are always kept on a long-line with a harness for safety I do both food- & scent based enrichment.

Availability
In addition to caring for my 2 Bouviers & my Australian Cattle Dog mix, I train dogs part-time as well as volunteering with HSDC in Delaware. My dogs have titled in AKC Trick Dog, Fit Dog, Virtual Home Manners, & Canine Good Citizen. We trial in Rally Obedience & Fast CATs. I offer walks in safe neighborhoods & local parks. Trail walks may also be available for a additional fee.
