I booked Marcy for holiday house-sitting. We have three cats who need regular medication and a nervous dog. One cat, in particular, needs monitoring and a very consistent diet and schedule, since we recently had a severe diabetes scare with him. Marcy took the job, was more than eight hours late to pick up the key, and then just didn’t show up the following morning. At that point, the diabetic cat was well off his medication schedule and the dog had been crated without food or water for more than twelve hours. Apparently, she had a work emergency the first day and a death in the family the previous week, and had overextended herself. At that point, we just didn’t feel comfortable with continuing the engagement. This may not have been a typical sitting situation; deaths in the family really do throw everything out of whack. We could have worked with that and figured something out if we had known what was going on sooner, but were just not comfortable with the lack of communication.

Marcy is so sweet and kind. When she came over to meet the pups we were so impressed how genuine and cheerful she was. She came with a bag of treats in hand and our dogs automatically adored her. She spent three days with them. They worked on basic commands and puzzles. Not only did she send picture updates, but she also created photo collages and sent them to us in the mornings and evenings. Marcy is an absolute pleasure to work with. Our dogs adore her. I would absolutely recommend her.
