We both want to take on a Rover profile because we are passionate about animals and their care, and we want to help alleviate the anxiety that comes with having to board your animal. We know first hand how difficult leaving your animal can be while you are on a trip or vacation; but leaving your animal with the comfort of their home setting and/or in the care of an animal friendly home like ours, you can rest assured of their safety, health, and happiness. Kellie has ample experience fostering dogs and volunteering at animal hospitals and shelters, and we both have dog (and cat) sitted from a very young age. We have two very well trained dogs ourselves and take tremendous pride in caring for our animals as well as others. We can also keep up with the training of a puppy (potty training, tricks, not chewing, etc.). We also have experience caring for other animals such as rodents, birds, and snakes! What sets us apart from other sitters is our proximity to the Poudre, our huge, fenced in yard, and our knowledge and passion for dog care. We can take your dog on a hike, play fetch in our huge back yard, and overload them with tons of loving. If we are caring for your pet at your home, what sets us apart, is that we will send pictures, water plants, and accomplish other household chores. But best of all -- there are TWO of us! Having two of us available will ensure that at least one of us will be able to care for your fur baby in the case of an emergency for either Marcus or Kellie. Pet Routine, availability, places, time spent with dogs. Marcus goes to school full time, and Kellie works nights. This combination works very well as we both have time to pet sit. Kellie works as a freelance dogwalker during the days before work, and Marcus attends school primarily in the morning/afternoon. We both make time 4-5x per week to take both our dogs to Horsetooth dog park together. If your pup were to stay with us, he or she could expect to take a trip to the dog park, take a hike on Horsetooth, and even go for a morning or afternoon jog with Kellie! We generally let the dogs out at least four times a day, and exercise them for at least 45min to an hour each day. If we were to visit your home, you could expect us to stay at your home with your dog for an hour. If more time is needed, we can definitely work out a stay time that accommodates everyone! We definitely want to ensure everyone's happiness!
