Hello, my name is Marcos. From the moment my family brought home our first dog Max when I was seven, I have been completely obsessed with dogs. After our golden retriever Max, who was my family's shared responsibility, I talked my parents into getting my English Bulldog Muggsy, taking the responsibility upon myself to train, love, and care for him. Lastly, before I moved to Colorado from Kansas I got an amazing dog, Josie, from an animal shelter. She absolutely changed the trajectory of my life. Unfortunately I had to leave her in Kansas with my parents when I moved to Denver to go to culinary school. Even more unfortunately, I have not been able to have a dog since Josie and my move. This is partly due to housing requirements at times, but mostly a decision based on my profession and the hours involved. It would be wrong and unfair to get a dog only to leave them cooped up in a house for hours and hours on end. So this is the next best thing! I have also had three roommates throughout the years who have owned dogs that I helped take care of, sometimes filling a lacking void from the owner. Murphy was an elderly Boxer who I administered seizure medication to. Lucy the Miniature Pincher and Mike the mutt were a wonderful pair to live with in Boulder. And Ivan the Chihuahua and Rocko the Dalmation were the pets of my last roommate that I helped care for. Ivan was a senior dog and partially blind. I have experience with various breeds, of varying age and health conditions. I am a loyal, hardworking, and trustworthy person, and my love and devotion to dogs will never change.
