My dog sitting services are special for many reasons. One being, that I work from home, which means that your pet will have a lot of attention, love, and comfort throughout the day. In addition, I provide plenty of exercise - walks and usually a fun excursion (weather permitting) - park, beach, hike, etc...Regular, engaging, and fun exercise can greatly increase your dog's quality of life, and even lengthen their life-span! Another benefit to my service, is my unique training and dedication to safety. Many dog walkers and pet sitters unintentionally expose dogs to dangerous and/or stressful situations. I have been trained in pack management, canine communication and body language, and positive reinforcement dog training. I carefully select dogs for outings, and never take inappropriate groupings. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my number one concern. Despite the seriousness of predatory drift, many dog care professionals are not aware that a casual, uninformed pairing, can have sudden and catastrophic consequences. My safety precautions mean that you can enjoy your vacation, worry-free. I am also certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I also have experience caring for elderly animals and dogs with limited mobility. I adjust exercise routines to meet your dog's needs and pace, and do my best to make everyday a happy day for your dog. In addition, I have very gentle methods for giving medications, including subcutaneous fluids. Though my training and experience is mostly with dogs, I also love visiting cats. I do not do any overnight cat-sitting, but I can schedule adequate time to go to your home, play with your cat, provide lots of affection and love, make sure they have fresh water and food, and anything else your pet might need. Prices for cat visits vary, depending on your cat's needs. Lastly, but most importantly, I will give your pet as much love, affection, and comfort as they need. Many animals experience anxiety or sadness when they are apart from their humans. My ultimate goal is to make their lives as nice as can be during your absence. I love to travel, so I know how hard it can be to leave your loved ones behind. I endeavor to ease your mind, and give your dog a truly enjoyable dog vacay! I look forward to meeting you and your pet. Please note: • Overnight stays are 24 hours, with a four hour grace period. If you need to leave your dog longer, a doggie day care fee of $55.00 will be charged. • Also, I don't crate dogs. Some of my clients do, in their own homes, but understand that I don't crate anyone. If you require that your dog be in a crate while they are on dogvacay, then I am not the right person to host them. If your dog uses a crate for reassurance, I can take the crate in-house and leave the door open so they can go in and out as they please. Thanks!
