I live a dog's life. . .
Pet care experience
We have adopted several dogs and cats throughout our lives. Most recently we share our lives with two adopted miniature poodle-bijon type mixes. We live in the country in a home that is pretty organic, without use of chemicals. We have a dog-friendly short-term people rental on the property too. Our yard borders open space and is fenced, and we also have a balcony off the living room that is great for dogs too. We serve our dogs organic no-grain treats and we provide a lot of attention to doggie guests. We look forward to hosting you soon. We hope you'll select us to host your dogs. We have several repeat overnight and day guests. Thank you for booking a meet and greet with us.

Marcia and Andy couldn't have been more perfect for us and our dog Maddie. We appreciated so many things about them, but to name a few: * Their kindness and experience in caring for dogs is obvious; * They seem especially knowledgeable about the sensitivities of small dogs; * The way they carefully chose to introduce their two dogs to ours in advance; * The special loving attention they gave our dog on his first sleepover with them; * The photos that Marcia took during our dog's stay, and her updates by text, were very helpful to reassure us that things were going well; * Prompt communications overall; * A calm, clean and safe home environment. We prefer small dogs under 15 pounds. I do not take pit bulls or aggressive dogs. We want gentle, kind, dogs. Older dogs are fine. Poodle mixes, Terriers, Chihuahuas, Spaniels, Daschunds, Havanese etc. are our favorites so far.
A typical day
We walk around the village, although we do live near open space and trails. Depending on the weather and season we often stay in town to prevent exposing dogs to foxtails, ticks, and tall grasses with fleas.
