$20. off your 1st stay by using a coupon code>just ask me! Your dog will live the life with me at my Just Like Home Doggy Daycare/Overnight Camp.! We go on walks, daily hikes and even swimming. They will have full access to my home with a doggie door and fenced in back yard. I will send daily reports and pictures throughout their stay with me. They will be treated as I treat my own animals (dogs and cats)! They will be loved and respected and will become a member of my family. When your pup is with me I make the commitment not to leave for more than 2 hours at a time. They will have access to my bed, couches and my entire home, everything is accessible (except the cat litter box) they will have free reign... you may notice this when you see doggie footprints on my floors after a rain ;-). I speak ‘dog’ with an amazing expertise in working to break bad habits if needed ie: jumping, leash pulling, chasing cats etc. As a Marketing Professional, I have the great fortune of working from home so your pet will most always be by my side. My passion for rescuing pets is exhibited in daily life with my own rescue, Buford, a flat-coated retriever; Artie a fat tabby cat and Chester, a cat-dog. If your dog doesn't get along with cats... no worries! My cats and I have fixed many dogs with those issues! Additionally, I work with To The Rescue, a nonprofit organization helping to find loving forever homes. I uphold the philosophy that a well-balanced pet is a well exercised and socialized dog. Your dog will come home happy, tired, well balanced and loved. I only keep a few dogs at a time at most since they live with me as they are my own. Occasionally if someone is desperate I will allow more but my goal is a home atmosphere and not a home turned into a dog boarding facility. * For the safety of my animals and the dogs that I watch I do not take any types of bully breeds, unspayed/neutered dogs or dogs with any types of aggression issues. I like to keep a small harmonious happy pack that live with me as my own. *Book a day of daycare before your trip to ease your mind before you travel!!! *I am also flexible. If you have any questions, special needs or concerns please just ask. I will do everything I can to make sure you 100% good with leaving your beloved pooch with me, I truly understand how hard it is and will do whatever I can to accommodate your wishes/needs during your stay* ** As an extra precaution I have my yard treated with BEEKIND an all natural and organic mosquito, flea and tick control.**

Our Golden Retriever, Dawn, had a great stay with Marcia. She came back happy and tired from all the playtime! Marcia very quick to respond and flexible with the pick-up/drop-off. She took great care of Dawn and sent photos throughout the weekend to let us know she was doing well. Thanks!
Marcia always takes great care of our dog and this time was no different. She is reliable, responsible, and I always know my dog is getting cared for while he is there.
Hodag didn't seem any worse for the wear after his stay with Marcia. And she was able to accommodate us at the last minute. However, my husband and I were not entirely comfortable with his situation while we were away. Firstly, the house was a bit of a mess, which I'm sure Hodag didn't mind, but I found it unexpected (especially given the price!) and worried that it might be indicative of how my dog would be cared for. Then, there were noticeable piles of dog poop in the yard, which raised similar concerns for me, and made me feel like he needed a bath when he got home. But most concerning for us was that when we arrived, Marcia put away one of the dogs that was already there, making us worry that Hodag would be dealing with an aggressive dog the whole time. Hodag is sweet and mild-tempered, so I don't like having him exposed to aggressive dogs. So, as I said, he seemed fine when we picked him up, but we would not have left him there if we had had another option. Worrying about your dog while you're gone is no good.

If your dog likes to swim we LOVE going to Shirlington dog park, swimming in my friends pool or the lake by my house. I have a fenced in yard with doggie door so the pups can come and go as they please. I work from home and I am always here or taking the dogs with me! They have the run of my house and will be treated like royalty! They will be treated as I do my own dog... and I am obsessed with my Buford!! If you have any behavioral issues you would like to work on please let me know! I can help break bad habits. Check in/out are generally hotel hours. Checkout: 11-12. Check in: 3:00. If you need special arrangments please let me know!
A typical day

I have dog beds all around the house and don't mind couchsurfing! I work from home so I am always here! I make that commitment to you and your pup when accepting stay a request. You pup will get love and attention just like he would at home.
