Pet care experience
Loving dog dad living in Elmhurst looking to extend my heart for dogs beyond my furry son at home! I’ve been a dog dad for 5 years, starting our relationship out as a foster, nursing him to health after his diagnosis of heartworm. Now, he is a happy and healthy (and spoiled) boy. We also have a spunky terrier named Dexter! Both of our boys love to make new friends. I have experience with overnight sitting & caretaking of multiple pets. In case your dog speaks Spanish- no worries! I am bilingual in English & Spanish. At my home, we love to engage in “canine enrichment” activities, including brain games, lots of toys, hide and seek, and occasional food focused games. I’m looking forward to meeting other dogs for whatever their needs might be! Thank you for your consideration!

Another wonderful visit with Marcelo and crew!
Loved the photos and texts. We were returning quite late so had our daughter pick Bandit up in the afternoon. She said Bandit did not want to leave. He was well cared for and that let us visit family without concerns. Thank you.
Great experience as my first time using the app. Marcelo and his wife took care of my pup and made me feel secure about leaving her. I got sent pictures everyday! They were very flexible with time since my flight was delayed. Overall just awesome !
This was my first time using Rover and Marcelo and his wife made this process so easy and comforting! Your dog must get along with other dogs, as we have 2 already in our home. Please, only potty trained pets (we have potty pads in the basement just in case!) Please also let us know any medical conditions we need to be aware of, and feeding schedule.
A typical day
We do at least 2-3 walks a day. We will always keep the dog leashed, not approach other dogs, and avoid dog parks. Our boys love to play with toys, so we also engage in play quite a bit.

I work from home 4 days a week and the day I go in, my wife works from home. There is always a human available.
