Dogs love me and I love dogs!
Pet care experience
I have loved animals, and dogs specifically ever since I can remember. I appreciate dogs for their capacity for unconditional love, their desire to have fun and enjoy life, and most of all for their extreme sensitivity and lack of pretense. I have been volunteering at dog shelters for about 5 years working with dogs on various impulse control skills such as down stays, loose leash walking door manners and recall. I have dealt with all different types of dogs who have all different types of personalities and I take something away from every dog that I meet. I believe that us humans can learn a lot from dogs whether it be about ourselves and how we deal with adversity and change, or just about enjoying life more.

I have known Marcelo since he was 8 years old. He is not only very responsible in general, but is a huge animal lover. I have watched him with his dog, Abby, my coton de tulear, Wilson and my Golden Retriever, Lucy over the years and they all love him. He walks into my house and my dogs run to him and excitedly jump all over him. He spends most of his time at my house on the floor with them in his lap. In recent years, he is always there if I need him to walk one of the dogs or come to my house to spend time them. He is a bit of a dog whisperer! I highly recommend him to work for your company. Your clients (human and dog) will love him!

A typical day
What I would love to do is start pack walking in the wissahickon park, but as of now I am looking forward to taking your dog on a long walk and practicing impulse control when we come across other dogs. This consists of teaching them to check in with me before approaching any dog and most of the time ending up staying by my side and not approaching the other dogs. When this behavior is built then we can give permission to approach other dogs.

Availability
I am free every day until 3 PM as I currently work in the restaurant business learning as a pizzolo but my long term goal is to become a dog trainer so in my off time I walk dogs of friends and neighbors as well as train them with positive reward techniques.
