Hi there, I'm Mara, proud mama to Asha! I was born & raised in Seattle but recently moved to Redmond. Maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is important to me - I love nature walks, hiking & the outdoors! Dogs who stay in my care get ample time to run, play, socialize and cuddle. Dogs have always been in my life and I love forming long-lasting relationships with the families that I work for. My approach to dog-handling is confident, affectionate, and responsible. I have experience with all ages/sizes/breeds. By attending training classes throughout the years I’ve learned how to best interact with dogs, how to keep them safe, how to socialize them, and how to use positive-reinforcement. Our days include a mix of play, walks and lots of snuggles! I send photo/video updates so you can feel connected to your dog-child and know how they’re doing during their vacation.

Mara took great care of my dogs for a week while I was away for the holidays! She took them on many walks and trips to Magnuson park and provided lots of cuddles. The dogs were right at home. Thank you Mara!
Mara is warm and encouraging, and was great with my dynamic duo: one shy adult dog and one wild 5mo old puppy. Her dogs are great company and we'll definitely be looking her up in the future.

A typical day
We live near Anderson Park, Marymoor Park, and Sammamish River Trail. Evan's Creek Preserve is our go-to for nature walks. We love going on hikes and to dog parks (for the more active and social pups - with your approval), but also enjoy relaxing at home or around the neighborhood (for more mellow or shy dogs who prefer the familiar).
