Our dogs are part of the family and we want the best for them. We know you feel the same way about your dogs, so we will care for your dogs like they were our own. We live in a 3-bedroom townhome with a medium-sized yard and a park right behind the house. Our dogs, Summer and Bernie, are friendly, lovable golden retrievers. They have the run of the house and the fenced-in yard. Your dog will be a member of the family while he or she is here and he or she will also have the run of the house. Here's what else you should know: -we will only book one dog family at a time so we can devote plenty of time and attention to your dog -will send daily updates with text photos or email -I am a stay-at-home mom of adult children, so I will be here with your dog all day, with the exception of occasional errands. -you provide the food, and we provide the treats, with your permission, of course! -daily walks, playtime, and cuddles are included -we are perfectly comfortable and experienced with giving your dog any medications or injections they may need -PLEASE NOTE that we DO NOT ACCEPT LAST-MINUTE RESERVATIONS from new families. For the safety of our dogs and yours too we insist on a Meet and Greet with your dog to make sure your dog is a good fit with our family and that everyone plays well together. However, once we get to know your dog, we have no problem with last minutes reservations if we are available. -Drop-off times are flexible between 8 am and 10 pm. Just let us know when to expect you. We do not accept drop-off or pick-up outside of those time frames. If you need to drop your dog off before 8 am, you will need to schedule a drop-off time the day before. If you need to pick up your dog after 10 pm, you will need to schedule pick-up the next day. -Please ensure your dogs are up to date on their vaccinations and healthy when you drop them off as we have dogs of our own. -Please ensure your dogs are clean and well-groomed before you drop them off since they are allowed on our furniture and in our beds. Our rates are a great deal at $50/day and $30/day for the second dog, but we will charge $60/day and $40/day for the second dog on the following holidays: New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, Presidents' Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My husband and I volunteer with Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue and the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue, and that's where we adopted our dogs. About my yard The yard is fairly large for a townhouse. See the photo on our profile. It's completely fenced in and we have a doggie door so your dog can come and go from inside to the yard and back as he or she pleases. Because we live in a community with coyotes, small dogs will only be allowed in the yard if accompanied by one of my family members or me. My experience in administering medication Not only am I comfortable with it, but I have plenty of experience administering all kind of medications to dogs.
