Pet care experience
I come from a family of caring and responsible dog owners. I live in a comfortable one bedroom with a large living room, kitchen, and a beautiful, sunny view of the Manhattan skyline. I'm on the 2nd floor of a newer dog-friendly building across from the waterfront in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I’m incredibly patient, gentle and respectful when caring for other people’s dogs and treat them like a family member. I grew up in Westchester County with dachshunds, but I love all breeds and different personalities...when it comes to dogs I don’t discriminate. I make my own schedule working freelance as a documentary filmmaker and spend a lot of time working from home. This allows me to have a flexible schedule and give your dog the attention and outside activity they need. I live seconds from the waterfront, parks and nearby dog parks. There’s a ton of space to walk and run!

Mara is wonderful! From the very first moment I meet her, it had clear she is a true dog lover. She simply loves being around dogs and my puppy gets excited every time she sees her. She sends me a lot of photos during the day which is great. The best thing is that I know my fur baby is always in good hands when she is with her.

I'd like to know a bit about how your dog interacts with other dogs so that I can get an idea of what to expect when I am walking them and also to prepare a tailored itinerary for our walks. I'd like to know if you have any special requests, as far as training or house rules that you would like me to take part in while your pup is at my home. If there is a walking schedule your dog is used to or preferences for how often you would like me to walk while at my home, then it would be great to be informed of that, as well. Also, any health concerns or issues I should be aware of before your dog's stay. As I said, I love all breeds but for now, I requested small and medium-sized dogs for boarding.
A typical day
My neighborhood is like a dog oasis. I'd love to go on walks to the waterfront and boardwalk (there's an actual beach area in Brooklyn!), The East River State Park and McCarren Park, which also both have their own dog parks. I'm up for running, jogging, strolling and I'm not afraid of active walks. Just let me know your dog's walking and activity preferences and I'll be super happy to follow suit.
