Pet care experience
I've been a vet tech for the last 4 years! I love animals and being around them and am able to also accommodate most special needs. Prior, I've had many dogs and cats and am very comfortable caring for them. I'm now a vet student and would love to take care of any pets! I'm experienced with cats, dogs, and exotics. I'm also comfortable with a variety of special requests; just let me know! To name a few, I can do nail trims (have the tools), administer medications (pills, capsules, injectables like insulin), take vitals, and do any sort of cleanings (bath or sanitary cleanings). Please note that for housesitting, I will not be able to stay there 24/7. Depending my schedule, I will be out for classes, checking on other pets, and other errands, from anywhere from 1-8 hours a day (usually no more than 2-3 hours though). If that will not work, please let me know so I can adjust my schedule when I can and make sure I'd be a good fit to take care of your pet.

Very responsive and flexible! Was very accommodating and made sure my anxious pup would do well in her care.
We felt very comfortable leaving Teddy with Manjari. She was very patient with him until he got comfortable. We will definitely leave him with her again in the future.

I have a friendly dog who is crate trained and loves other dogs. He's good at leaving other dogs alone too & reading their body language. He usually gets excited and will sniff them at first and then be indifferent. However, if your pet doesn't like other pets, the house has a lot of room for dogs to have their own space and co-exist very well without having their freedom restricted. I have XL crates if you would prefer your dog to be crated in any unfamiliar environment. My home is a large single family home with a huge yard with a high fence and two gates for extra safety.

I am confident with reading dog behavior and understanding when dogs may not like other animals, may be frustrated/tired etc. but any information about triggers is very helpful to avoid pets in a stressful situation. If your dog is food aggressive, cat aggressive etc. please let me know so I can take extra care. Please let me know if there are any allergies, treats to avoid etc. I generally only feed owner provided treats and food anyhow.
A typical day
I love to keep dogs well stimulated. I have lots of my own toys including ropes, toys that hide snacks, slow feeder bowls, licking mats, balls I can hide snacks in, and stuffed toys that make noise. I have an ideal walking route and also live close to a dog park if your dog enjoys dog parks.

Availability
I have a variable school schedule with vet school, but most days I will be home doing school remotely and can flexibly do long walks, medication administrations, potty breaks, and trips to the park! I'm generally only out for 1-3 hours during an average day at the most for required in-person class, but if you have an questions about needing me home more frequently, just reach out to me with specific dates. My schedule is variable but generally quite flexible :) AM/PM: Generally get a walk/ball/preferred exercise with breakfast and any morning medications. During the day, they're free to roam but generally can stay in my office area with access to water and my yard to go out as needed. They are never unattended in the yard. If your dog needs to be let out more frequently let me know, but generally I'll let them out every 1.5-2 hours unless they indicate to me otherwise.
