Hello everyone! I’m Manfred (“Manni”) – owner / operator of The Happy Hound Pet Sitting & Dog Walking in Scottsdale, AZ serving the surrounding areas of North and Central Scottsdale, North Phoenix and Fountain Hills. I started my business in 2015 after many years spent working in the field of education as a challenge for myself - to learn about the ins and outs of running my own business, but more importantly to fulfill my passion for working with animals, particularly dogs. K9’s have always been a big part of my life, ever since childhood and throughout my adult years. My first introduction to dogs was as a child, being raised around German Shepherds being trained by my mother as part of a seeing-eye dog program for the blind. Upon relocating to the U.S and after purchasing my first house, fate had it that I would rescue three pit bulls, an Akita and two Rottweilers along with fostering multiple dogs abandoned on the streets. While most of my dogs have passed with age, I have learned many lessons from each, which I carry with me and apply to my interactions with all new and current dogs that I work with. While I primarily work with K9’s I also have plenty of experience working with other furry, winged and hooved domestic critters from cats to chickens, geese and rabbits and pigs. That would be the farm boy in me (having spent many a long weekend as a child on my uncle’s farm back home) and am more than happy to care for your domesticated farm or exotic pets in your absence. As a professional pet care provider and dog walker, I take ownership and pride in my business as well as providing the highest level of care and client satisfaction. I do this by establishing a personal relationship with all of my clients, building trust with their pets and maintaining open lines of communication on each visit by staying in frequent contact whether through a phone call or using the Rover App to message you. I am glad to answer any questions that my clients may have and will always be honest and am committed to providing a quality service experience for both you and your pets.
