Lots of room to run and play!

Pet care experience

Hi, My name is Mandy. I love all animals. I was In 4 H and continued my education and achieved my BS in animal production with equine emphasis. I then earned my dog grooming certification through Petsmart and have 8 years professional experience. Your pet will enjoy their vacation on the farm with 10 fully fenced acres to run and explore. I have a very friendly and well socialized 10 yr old pit bull named Smokey. I am experienced in medication administration, including diabetic care and insulin injections. I offer in my home boarding for up to 5 dogs, occasional drop in pet/horse/house care, full service grooming (some restrictions). Please feel free to reach out to me for questions! I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby!

Mandy was fantastic with my fur baby. Her care of Addie was obvious in the many photos and video I received during her stay. Addie is going to miss all the animals she became friends with. I would absolutely recommend Mandy. I will 100% use her again when I have to go out of town.

We feel lucky to have Mandy nearby. We have an exuberant 11 month old pup with separation anxiety and he came home in excellent spirits. Mandy sent plenty of pics and video updates as well as suggestions to help with his anxiety

Safety, trust & environment

If you are not aware of the current respiratory infection that dogs are catching I strongly advise doing some research and making yourself aware of the risks. It’s highly contagious. I’m still boarding up to 5 dogs at a time but I’m removing community water bowls and toys. I am still allowing group play since it is not feasible for me to isolate dogs from each other in my home. I do have emergency quarantine locations in case any dogs in my care show symptoms. I just want everyone to be aware of the risks right now and if your dogs have any symptoms at the time of drop off I may decline boarding or keep them quarantined for their stay. House sitting and drop in visits are the safer choice if it is an option for you. The 10 acres is fully fenced and located at the end of a dead end rode. This is a farm setting with goats, chickens and a horse but your pet will always be supervised while exploring the larger part of the property. When we aren’t exploring the property together your dog can be indoors with me or playing in a secure yard (also closely supervised) with other boarded dogs. At feeding time everyone is separated into kennels to ensure that there is no fighting. Also, for their safety if I need to leave to run an errand they will be separated.

Information Mandy W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if pets have any allergies or medical concerns, aggressive behavior, if they are potty trained or require additional breaks (puppies or geriatric). I’d like to know if they have any separation anxiety, excessive barking or destructive tendencies. I also need to know if they are ok off leash, if they will run away or wonder and if you prefer them to be on a leash.

A typical day

A typical day starts with a morning potty break, then breakfast between 6-8am. After my morning farm chores we will have a romp along the farm perimeter trail and some group play. Next is relaxing and napping while I work my part time job on the computer. They will get another potty break and group playtime around lunch. After work we will have another walk and playtime around the farm. The rest of the day might be napping, cuddle time, group play followed by dinner between 6-8pm, and a last potty break before bed.
