loving care & pet portraits!

Pet care experience

***I specialize in caring for small breeds preferably under 30 lbs!*** Your dog will be part of a loving family. I'm a dedicated care provider home 5 days a week to give plenty of love, attention, play time, and socialization. I know how stressful it can be to find quality care for your dog(s) while you're away and treat your dogs the way I would want mine to be treated. I live in a ranch house with no steps (perfect for older dogs) and a 6 ft privacy fenced yard. One of my living rooms (16ft x 16ft - gated) is fully dedicated as a dog play room complete with pet friendly flooring and access to the backyard. I have one 7 year old dachshund who needs a pal. Our other dog passed away last year and he could use some friendly companions. For all new clients we always have a meet and greet first to ensure the booking will be a good fit. We would love to include your "fur baby" as part of our pack while you're at work or on vacation. I specialize in caring for small breeds preferably under 30 pounds and sit no more than four dogs (including mine) at a time. We are a husband and wife household with two small children. Your dog will never be unattended for more than 2-3 hours at a time assuming we need to leave the house for a brief amount of time. We strive to keep your dog in a similar routine to home. Please let us know about any special needs such as marking, potty, dietary restrictions, or medications. We would love to host your pet(s)!

Mandy was absolutely amazing!!! Feel so comfortable leaving our dogs in her hands. She sent us pictures and texts throughout our trip which was much appreciated. They had so much fun there that they even ran back into the house when I came to pick them up! Thank you, Mandy!

This is our first time using rover.com. We are totally thrilled. We were always sad to leave Indy in a kennel with all of the noise, isolation and limited out outdoor time. Mandy was awesome. She was very knowledgeable, caring and informative. We immediately felt comfortable. Mandy sent us a video and Indy looked so happy. When we picked him up, he was joyful in general, not just because he got to go home. He also did not seem exhausted from being up all night like when he had been at the kennel. It was definitely like being home. We plan to visit Mandy again very soon. We are so glad we found her.

We were very pleased with Zoey's stay at Mandy's home. Her home and fenced back yard were perfect for Zoey to enjoy being with Mandy's two small dogs. Her home was well maintained and showed no sign of abuse by animals. Mandy loves dogs. We received timely notes and photos of Zoey during her stay.

We were very pleased to have had Mandy care for our dogs while we went on vacation. We received plenty of texts and pictures, and the dogs seemed to hardly have missed us, as they had such a stress-free environment to stay in. The peace of mind was really appreciated. We will no doubt be sending our beloved dogs to Mandy again in the future. Thanks, Mandy!

Information Mandy V. would like to know about your pet

Tell me about your dogs personality and their favorite things so I can be sure to best watch and care for them! I also need to know: 1. Tell me about your dog's daily routine! Do you work from home, how many times a day are they fed, how much daily excercise does your dog require, etc. 2. Is your dog crate trained? 3. Where do they usually sleep at night? 4. How does your dog interact with other dogs? Do they display any dominant behaviors e.g. charging at other dogs? Are they prone to nip or bite? 5. Are there any known food allergies or health issues? 6. Does your dog experience any separation anxiety? How is this displayed? 7. What are the contact details for their main veterinary care clinic? For their drop off please bring their comforts of home - food, bedding, a favorite toy, etc. Please also bring their crates. I only crate the dogs for their safety if I have to leave the house to run an errand. It's also it's for their comfort. Even if they don't use their crate much at home dogs love having their own cave/space and their crate helps them to achieve this. Having their crate can also be helpful to a dog experiencing separation anxiety which I help them work through.

A typical day

I send plenty of updates and photos. As a photography enthusiast I often use my professional DSLR camera to photograph your dog and send a few professional pet portraits along with your booking! Unlike most sitters on Rover I am home with the dogs ALL DAY! As a boutique sitter I watch only a handful of dogs at a time. During peak travel times this means I have to turn down bookings so booking in advance is recommended.
