Schedule a furkid sleepover today!

Pet care experience

I have been the proud pet mommy (dogs, cats, rabbits, and more) of amazing furbabies all of my life until very recently. I lost my sweet Polka-Dottie after eight and a half years to poor health from an irresponsible breeder. I have found the best kind of therapy for myself and the ability to continue to share my love with all animals by continuing to care for the pets of friends and family as I have done for as long as I can remember. I can be much more flexible now and have been able to grow my current client list to a place where I realize the favor I have been doing for others for so many years is truly something I enjoy more than my "real" job. I have escaped cubicle-land forever and will focus on making sure I am able to help as many as possible to be able to travel and take care of their every-day-lives as well as those crazy emergencies that come up without having to worry about their fuzzy babies. My clients know I take care of their babies and give them the love, fun, and stability they would. My clients all say their babies get excited when they know "Aunt Mandy" is coming to see them today. Whether it's for a nice long walk around the neighborhood, an hour of ball-fetching awesomeness, a wrestling match in the floor, or a good long brushing with the fur-buster then dinner or it's an all-out sleepover with homemade chicken broth popsicles, snuggling up on the couch for movie night and sending mom and dad fun pictures of their loving babies telling them they miss them and sweet dreams before bed. I have some pooches that don't have to take anxiety meds anymore because they are comfortable with me and look forward to our times together. This makes me very happy. Let's meet. Let me share the love with your furbabies, too.

Mandy is amazing! She takes caring for your 4 legged friends so personally as if they were her own. They get lots of love and attention. I don’t trust many people to take care of my fur babies- but with Mandy I know they will be in the best of care!!!!!! Thank you Mandy!

We hired Mandy to watch our dog for 24 hours while we were out of town at a baby shower. She was supposed to arrive Saturday Morning, spend the day with the dog at home, leave for a concert that evening (which she mentioned prior to us booking), then come back to spend the night with the dog. She did not show up to our house till 3-4PM, which meant our dog was home alone for 7 hours before she arrived. I told her I was unhappy about this and she told me it would be okay because she wouldnt leave for the concert until 8-9pm. She ended up only staying with our dog for 30 minutes before heading to the concert and left our dog alone AGAIN for another 7-8 hours before coming back to the house around 12 am. Not only did she neglect our dog all day, she also had a man with her that she never mentioned bringing nor did we meet during the meet-n-greet the weekend previously. We did not feel comfortable allowing a strange man to stay at our house and after the service (or lack-there-of) that Mandy provided during the day, we did not feel comfortable putting our dog through anymore possible neglect. We decided to make the 3 hour drive back home (at 12am) and told Mandy to leave. I will never use this sitter again and honestly I don't think she should even be allowed to "watch" any other dogs. If we didn't have a security camera, we would have never known that she was not actually doing what she told us she was doing.

Mandy was a wonderful sitter for our dogs. She provided us tons of updates and adorable photos of our pups. Our dogs took to her immediately and even loved snuggling with her at night. She was incredibly helpful with everything we asked and went above and beyond to provide excellent care and kept our home neat and tidy- tidier than we left it, actually! She is definitely a 5-star sitter and someone I would without hesitation recommend to anyone I know. Thank you Mandy! Our pups were so well looked after and happy as can be.

Information Mandy S. would like to know about your pet

All dogs are lovable. Every one. Let me know if yours is a little shy or easily distracted. Your baby's safety is first for me. Of course, I want to know if he or she is restricted from certain areas of the house or whether or not we are allowed to snuggle on the couch. Some of my adopted babies don't want me out of their site, some just want to keep a distance (especially a few kitties I get to love on occasionally) and come close on their schedules. Tell me what makes your baby happy and anything that may not be their favorite as well.

A typical day

Now that Georgia has decided to bring back these beautiful sunny days and gorgeous starry nights, I love to spend as much time outside with my fur friends as possible, as long as it is approved by their parents. I love making popsicles for the pooches out of chicken or beef broth. Sometimes I'll sneak a tiny piece of a broken treat or their kibble in the smaller cubes. For the bigger babes (a Catahoula Leopard Mix and a Golden Mix I love playing with), I will make giant blocks of ice from diluted broth with some of their favorite treats or fruit for them to have to work for. Depending on their determination and the size of the ice, it can be a quick couple of minutes on the deck up to an hour or more of pure doggy happiness. The smiles and tail wags make it all worth it!
