Pet care experience
I (Mandy) grew up with multiple dogs in my family my entire life, and can't remember a time (until now) when I wasn't caring for a pup. I had a few large mutts (70-115 lbs), a medium-sized tibetian terrier, and two yorkies. Prior to moving to DC I worked at a dog-friendly office, so I got my fair share of dog time with a ton of different breeds and I miss it! I absolutely adore dogs and they tend to love me. We live in a condo community with a ton of outdoor space and my neighborhood is very walkable -- less than a mile to iwo jima memorial park. My fiancé, Greg, and I both work from home and have very flexible schedules that allow for multiple dog walks and potty breaks every day.

Mandy and Greg took wonderful care of our dog Brody. They took him on extra long walks, sent plenty of updates, and provided him with home-like love and care while he stayed with them. It’s hard to find people who you can trust your dog with, but I would highly recommended Mandy and Greg take care of your furry baby.
Greg and Mandy are the actual best. They go above and beyond to make sure my dogs needs are met and he thrives during his staycation with them. 10/10 would recommend!

We live in a one-bedroom condo on the 3rd floor of a walk-up, with no access to an elevator. However, we have boarded older, small dogs that need help up the stairs and we are more than happy to carry them! We have plenty of space for your dog's crate if needed, but we have no issue if your dog does not use a crate :).

Please let us know if your dog needs additional walks/potty breaks! Please also share if there are certain routines you like to do with your dog before or after meals. If you make them do a command before feeding or if they are afraid of certain types/sizes of other dogs please let us know, we are happy to maintain your routines with your dog while you are on vacation.
A typical day
I like taking dogs on walks through Arlington, over towards the Iwo Jima memorial where there is a nice walking path along the cemetery. We also like walking over to Georgetown or Roosevelt island. We don't have any private outdoor space where your dog can be off-leash, but there are lots of good smells around the neighborhood for us to explore with your dog!

Availability
We both work from home 9-5 but with a very flexible schedule. Typically we will give a quick 15-30 minute walk in the morning depending on the dog's size and energy level, a mid-day walk, and then a longer walk after dinner. Of course, potty breaks are dependent on the dog but we're able to take them out as often as every hour. We are happy to work with you on what your dog prefers!
