Pet care experience
I am the proud owner of a beautiful mixed-breed dog. I make a special effort to train her, which includes teaching new commands/tricks and demonstrating how to play with new toys. In addition to training, I like to take her to the dog park, when the weather allows for it and encourage her to play with other dogs. As a pet owner, I understand the significance of finding a trusted petsitter/dog walker. Any pets in my care would be looked after as if they were my own. As a pet owner, I am assertive when the situation calls for it. However, I am also very playful and attentive. In case you are concerned about boarding, here is some information about my dog: Rori is half Australian Cattle dog and half Corgi. She's very playful and does not have a history of being violent with cats or other dogs. Also, she has been spayed.

I hired Amanda a little over a year ago. Since then, she has been a wonderful addition to our family. Up until recently, Amanda worked as our nanny for my 4 year old daughter. Her job included taking care of Ashley while my husband and I were at work. But in addition to some light house cleaning, Amanda also fed our dog and walked him throughout the day. It's difficult to put trust in somebody that you don't know but in all of her time working for us, Amanda never let us down. I'm sad to say that my family is relocating and sad to see Amanda go.
My new job frequently requires me to travel, however, I live alone with two labradors. I met Amanda at the dog park and we carried on a conversation while our dogs played. We ended up running into each other on a few other occasions and I decided to reach out to her about my situation. After talking for a bit, Amanda offered to take care of my dogs while I was out of town. I figured since our dogs already knew each other and got along, it made sense. I have to say, Amanda is great with my pups and they seem to like her quite a bit. She has been caring for them for a few months now and I'm really grateful that they're in good hands when I'm away. Amanda is reliable and is really good about keeping me updated which is something I really appreciate considering one of my dogs gets separation anxiety and the other is a handful. Thanks Amanda!
I've known Amanda and her dog Rori for about 3 years and I have to say, their bond is unbelievable. When Amanda adopted Rori they connected almost instantly and Amanda did a fantastic job of comforting Rori throughout her anxiety of switching homes. When we hang out, I spend a lot of time at Amanda's apartment because she doesn't like to leave her dog home alone for super long periods of time. From what I can see, Amanda is great with dogs and if I had a pet I would totally trust her to provide good care.

Before committing to dog sitting, I would like to meet with said dog and allow both of us to get familiar with each other. In the event that I am boarding, I would like to introduce my dog first so that I can confirm that they will get along. I also think it would be good to know if your dog is potty trained and how often your dog tends to go on a walk. That would allow me to keep their routine intact, which I'm sure you could appreciate.
A typical day
I am familiar with the Brandywine park, as that is where I like to take my dog. It is a great for exercising and meeting other dogs in the area. I also like to take my dog to Rodney Square. Some fun things I like to do with my dog are playing fetch and tug of war. I also like to let her explore the area which is always a good option for dogs that are super curious or are being introduced to a new spot. These are things that I would do as a dogsitter/dog walker.
