Pet care experience
I am an occupational therapist working in Lubbock, TX. I had a dog throughout most of my life but after she passed, my parents didn’t want another. We found a stray in September 2023 and took her in. Her name is Denali, she’s a Rottweiler. She is spayed and does great with other dogs big and small but still growls at unfamiliar adults. I have been on rover since 2020 and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time and giving love to the pups on rover while their parents are away. I absolutely adore animals and would love to destress with your pets and help you out by caring for your animals while you’re away. I have a fenced in yard and I live in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks and minimal traffic. I want to make sure they feel comfortable so when they first arrive I like to leave the door to the fenced in backyard open so they can come in and out as they please.

A typical day
I enjoy playing with the dogs and giving them the energy release they need! There’s also a large park near my house that I can take them to but it does have geese. I have a smaller fenced in yard (but have space for them to use the bathroom and play some) so taking them to the park would be the best option.

Availability
I am working full time but I don’t work most Fridays and am flexible with my hours. My boyfriend also works from home so if boarding is your desire, he will be able to let the dogs out if I cannot. He also loves dogs and had a dog for 14 years who recently passed so we’re both ready for some pup company!
