Pet care experience
I have always had pets from dogs and cats, to bunnies and fish. My current cats, Schroeder (10) and SmokeyJones (12), love to cuddle and sing the song of their people at 2am. I am currently helping my mom train her two puppies. A puggle named Duke (1.5), and a golden named Princess (8mo.) It is my main job, so I can easily fit it in my schedule. I love caring for your furrkids and walking them is fun. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that affords me time to care for my kitties and help with my mom's pups.
Reviews
We continue to use Malissa every time we travel. Whether it’s a weekend or 14 days. She leaves our home just as we left it and most importantly our animals are loved and well cared for.
My pets love Malissa and it's such a good feeling knowing everything is in good hands when I'm away from home
Malissa is so sensitive towards my pets. Really appreciate when she is available.
Let me start by saying I’ve never left a review before but wanted to make sure those that are thinking of booking know everything. When Malissa came to our place for our meet & greet she was very thorough with her note taking and felt good about leaving my golden Bailey with her at my place. Around 7p she would send a few pics and a sentence or two but wasn’t the recap I was expecting. After the five nights I arrived home, she had already left, and I was so grossed out. The apt stunk like rotten food so I immediately checked the garbage and OMG it smelled like something died. It took taking the garbage out, lighting candles, opening all windows and back door and scrubbing where the garbage was and the sink for it to finally smell good. I had left her a sheet, per her request, with Bailey’s routine and discussed her lick mats, games, etc. that she could have. I specifically let her know that I put three lick mats in the freezer and that she normally only got one a week and she stopped me and said if that is what she is used to then that is what I will do but when I got home two were in the sink not rinsed off with flies surrounding them and the other in the middle of the floor. She also has two brain games and those were to be alternated but instead she gave her one of them everyday. There were 4 dead bees on the ground, hair clumps, dirt, several stains and something sticky on my couch I still can’t get out. Oh and I left 11 apples and some blueberries and raspberries for her to enjoy and share a few with Bailey when she ate them but when I opened the fridge I saw she had eaten 10 apples and was only here 5 days how is that even possible?! The couch looked like she was on it 99% of the time with the cushions flattened and a mess and left it that way. Before she came I made sure to clean my apt and based on her reviews she would leave the place as it was when she arrived but clearly that wasn’t true. Bailey and I are very active so asked for her to take her on 2-3 walks a day but based on the very brief recap she sent me they maybe went on 6 the entire time. I sent several messages on rover asking why she choose to do whatever she wanted instead of what we discussed, the place being a mess and several other items and her only answer was that she hopes I still use Rover to find someone new and then blocked me. I know that she will see this so if I don’t hear back in the next day I will throw away whatever is in a large jar in my refrigerator.
