Pet care experience
Hi!! I have grown up with dogs, both big and small, and know how to handle different sized dogs. I have walked, picked up after the dogs, fed, and played with dogs for most of my life. I haven't had any cats but I have had handling experience with cats in a local animal shelter and taking care of my neighbor’s cat. There, I was responsible for cleaning, playing, feeding, medicating and adopting out cats. I am very passionate about animals and animal care and am specializing in wildlife health and conservation at school. I would love to be able to take care of your dog or cat, whether that be walking or sitting. Please feel free to message for more and I can’t wait to hear from you! Thank you so much! I am currently busy in tuesdays and thursdays but I am free anytime else. I am free to pet sit or do dog walks. I am free anytime during the day and I can stay the night. I currently live in a condo so I do not have a backyard. I live near a park and the Cleveland Metroparks. I love cuddling any dog that’s near and I am very observant of animal behavior and adapt to how they feel. I am calm and relaxed around all animals. I won’t be able to have pets in my home—I recently rescued a new dog that is getting adjusted to my home.

Malena was a wonderful sitter for our playful puppy, Bean. She watched our puppy during the day while we were at a wedding. She was so friendly and adaptable when we asked her to come a little earlier. We loved that she sent updates and pictures throughout the day. We knew Bean was in great hands with Malena!
My family and I have known Malena since 2006, when she and our daughter began a 10 year joint swimming experience through our local community and high school. We have traveled with Malena (as part of the national synchronized program) and we have become good friends with Malena and her family. Malena has always been a smart, high-achieving young woman. She graduated from the University of Richmond (undergrad) and the University of Bristol (graduate program in animal wildlife). The most compelling reason why you should include Malena in Rover.com is that the thing that drives her most is her incredible passion for animals. All animals. Malena and her family have been loving dog-families since before Malena was born. Currently, they have an aging Dachsund, Pickle, whom they have had since she was a puppy, and a 6-year old Terrier mix, Sassy, who they recently rescued. Malena's career will ultimately focus on animal welfare. In the meantime, she would be a huge asset to Rover.com.
Malena absolutely love animals. What I love about her is she will treat them like they are her own pet and gives them all her love and attention. It gives me peace of mind when I am gone that they are being taken care of just like I would or even better. You can't go wrong with hiring Malena.

I live in a condo at the moment so I do not have a backyard. I do have a park nearby and easy access to the Metroparks. Unfortunately, we recently rescued a senior dog and she is still getting comfortable and used to us, the home, and other dogs so I will not be able to have dogs over to my home.

A typical day
I would take them out on short and long walks to offer variety, either around the neighborhood or to the park. There would be plenty of play and cuddles in between!

I am currently volunteering Tuesdays and Thursdays and can only do evenings on those days. Otherwise I am free anytime during the week! I look forward to working with you to accommodate whatever you need.
