Pet care experience
What can I say? I'm a college student who has loved dogs (and vice versa) ever since I was a baby. When I was upset, my family knew to soothe me with my favourite book "Zoom City" (Google it and see why!) Though I've never owned a dog myself, I have grown up around many friends and family members who do, so I am completely familiar with the unique ways in which they interact and communicate. Dogs love the way I show them affection and are always delighted to see me! A bit about me: I'm an American ex-pat who moved to Toronto from New York in 2018. I'm also a former dog walker for an organization called PAWS NY, which provides dog walking services for housebound clients. I also belonged to a Buddy Program at a doggy daycare. Dogs are truly awesome and I have no doubt in my mind that your four-legged family member and I will get along just fine! I'll also take care of your feline friend if you have one!

Not only is Makonnen one of the most responsible people I know... dogs also LOVE him! My two pooches are always sad when he leaves.
this guy is almost like a whisperer. he's spent time with my dogs and cats; they adore him and will leave my husband and me to cuddle with makonnen at bedtime. he absolutely deserves a chance to enrich not only your pet's lives, but yours as well. he's a delight, and won't let you down.

As a sitter, I need to be made aware of everything about your dog and the ways in which I can best accommodate them. That includes informing me about any allergies they have, medications they're taking, how much kibble to feed them, etc. More importantly, however, I need to meet your dog first in order to get a sense of their personality. The same goes for cats!
A typical day
They'll have the absolute time of their lives! I know for a fact that they'll love playing games like "Fetch" and "Tug-of-War" and receiving my signature belly and face rubs! If your dog could speak, then they more than likely wouldn't stop talking about me! (Much like the title character in "Martha Speaks" after she eats a bowl of alphabet soup) :)
