I have helped military families, neighbors, and friends with pets (dogs/cats) during holidays seasons/vacations. Also grew up with a lovely beagle named Disco. Aiming to pet sit your fur babies on a regular basis!

My dog Scoobie had a great time staying with Makiah. Hopefully he gets to stay back again in future . She sent me picture and videos which clearly showed my dog was very relaxed and enjoying his stay there. She is is really great with communicating and was very flexible for the pickup at the end of the stay. Would highly recommend

A gem of a person, sweet, responsible and communicative. She took the time to ask good questions and learn all about my dog’s routine. She sent many updates, pics and vids. My dog’s body language was so relaxed and happy in all of them. I would highly recommend working with Makiah!

I try my best to take care of pets just as the owner's would. I also make sure to take notes of feeding times, walking procedures, and behavior within the house to make sure the pet isn't too far removed from its comfort zone.

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Any pet health issues I should be aware of? Do you all have a routine that I can follow? Does you pet like or dislike to be around certain things or people? What’s the best way to reward your pet? (Quick learner open to learning about oral or injected medication, taking care of senior and/or special needs dogs.)
A typical day
Fun activities will include acts that allow the pet to learn and burn energy. This can/will take place inside or outside (weather permitting and depending on pet types). Walks will take place in nearby neighborhoods and parks. I also use the "All Trails" app for options, it's nice to change the scenery every once and a while! (Will ask for permission to drive with dog beforehand)

Availability
I work a full time hybrid job less than 5 minutes away from my residence. I come back home for lunch daily for an hour on office days. Remote days are flexible and can be adjusted based on your pets needs!
