Hey! I'm Makenzie. A 31 year old stay at home mom who recently just relocated to Leadville after living in the beautiful Vail Valley for 6 years. Our land offers endless trails & forest, plus a large doggie pool & plenty of shade. I have been around animals my whole life as I grew up on a farm in southern Iowa & assisted my sister in breeding Newfoundlands for 10 years. I have worked as a kennel tech, assisted with doggie daycare activities, as well as boarding services. I can properly administer medications if your dog is needing extra attention. Even though I am not in the industry presently, my love for animals is relentless. I have a dog of my own, Onyx, who is a 6 year old, 100lb Alaskan Shepard ( 1/2 malamute 1/2 German Shepard). Being a SAHM with a 3 year old means your dog/cat MUST be okay with a kiddo running around at all times. He's a sweet boy who LOVES animals as much as I do. That being said, we will both treat your fur babies as we would our own <3

This was a tremendous experience. First time using Rover and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with Makenzie. Her space is absolutely great, huge yard, friendly neighborhood pup friends, my pooch was dead tired when I got her back after playing the whole time :) Makenzie was so great at communicating and sent me pics of my dog for peace of mind while I was gone. Will absolutely be using her services again!
She was excellent and communicated very well
Makenzie was fabulous!!! We were so grateful that she was able to take our 2 year old lab, Sam while we went rafting for the day. She was flexible, communicated well, and sent pictures. We came home to a happy dog and we felt comfortable that she was in great hands for the day with Makenzie!
Makenzie is a wonderful, energetic and kind person. She treats her dog and other animals like they are all her best friend. I could go out of town in peace knowing my pet is being well taken care of by a trustworthy individual such as Makenzie.

I do not have a fenced in yard. If your dog is a runner, it may be best to find another sitter. My kiddo and I will always be outdoors when the dogs are outdoors, they would never be left alone! Having a animal loving kiddo means your dog MUST be okay with one running around at all times.

I would love to know if your dog gets along with other dogs and kids! - We have neighborhood dogs that come over almost daily to play in the doggie pool and hang out on our acre of land. One dog who is over quite often is a red heeler named Ty & a french bulldog named Gus.
A typical day
We have a ton of trails in our backyard that we can walk daily. We have an acre of land for endless running and playing!
