Pet care experience
Obviously, I love dogs, probably even more then most. I share my own border collie/lab pup that I’ve raised since she was 8 weeks old, and now she’s a little over two years old (they just grow up so fast) with an ex partner. I make sure to visit often. When I was younger I was involved in 4-H, where I showed and trained dogs using positive reinforments with praise and treats. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience with all types of dogs, from little chihuahuas who think they’re Great Danes, to Great Danes who think they’re lap dogs. I’ve also helped raise multiple litters of puppies and would love to watch your little one but there’s always a special also love for the oldies. Your dog will have all of its needs met with me, whether it’s a long game of fetch or snuggles on the couch. I can also continue working on any training/commands you may be training them.

Mackenzie was the absolute perfect sitter for our 12 year old dog! She kept us updated with photos and we could see how comfortable our dog was at her home and with her dog. We really enjoyed our vacation knowing our Maya was so loved! I highly recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again.
Never before have I met a more patient dog owner and all around caring person. Makenzie has a great love for animals and it shows, whether she is with her dog or someone else's. Watching the joy she gets being around dogs is infectious.

I love all breeds but especially enjoy playing with big and/or fluffy dogs :) Helpful Questions for Me to Know: -What is their normal routine including: feeding time, amount of exercise needed or any other details. -Do they have any behaviors that can be provoked during certain situations that should be avoided (such as aggressive about food, etc) -Do they have any allergies? -Do they get along with other dogs? -Are they completely house trained? -Do they have any other training/know any commands? -Anything else you might feel I should know
A typical day
I love to go near the waterfront or around the neighborhood trails for walks. The Squalicum dog park is also only a 5-10 minute drive from my place. My pup and I have gone on lots of hikes around Whatcom Falls or Lake Padden. So whether your pupper needs an easy, light walk or a tiring game of fetch, their exercise needs will be met. And of course, you can’t forget about the pets and cuddles!
