Hi! I’m Makenna, I’m a professional dog handler who does Rover part time. Check out my gallery to see a few of my regulars! We have a lot of fun 🤩 I love pets and have had my own “business” since I was 10 years old! In that business I would board dogs at my home, walk, care, feed, bathe (if needed) and love the dogs! I would also travel and stay at people’s houses to do what I mentioned above and light house work and or do drop ins. I have been professionally working at misc. dog facilities such as daycare and boarding for 6.5 years as a dog handler. I was taught behavior analysis and modification and I am well versed with special needs dogs, dogs with behavioral issues, fear based aggression, oral medication, protective/resource guarding, puppies, seniors, leash manners, and more! *PLEASE NOTE: I am not a professional trainer nor am I qualified to handle dogs who attack/bite without reason, please seek training from a professional trainer if these issues are present in your pet. I’m also learning how to train pets and will implement training techniques if there are unwanted behaviors you would like help with. I have specialized in fear based aggression and can handle dogs with such issues. (Another note, this is relating to dogs who are nervous around or afraid of new people and react out of fear, not reactive dogs in general as I do not have the proper training to handle dogs who are reactive without specific triggers. Feel free to message me if you are unsure if this applies to your dog or not 💖) I have two dogs (one being 17 years old!) and three cats of my own, one of which was feral upon taking him in! I know how hard it can be to leave your animals for any amount of time. You can feel confident and secure knowing I am treating your pets as my own (I would say better, but that’s not possible!).
