I'm currently studying Animal Sciences at Umass Amherst! I’m extremely knowledgeable about care giving and various ways to provide enrichment. I can confidently handle any type of dog or cat, no matter the breed or size. I have plenty of experience caring for animals through owning pets myself and my schooling.

The best dog carer ever! Our shy dog LOVED Makayla; she sent us lots of pictures; she took him on long woods walks off leash; she got to know him and all his quirks. Most importantly, she spent a lot of time with him and didn't leave him alone much (he loves company). She a great communicator and really seems to love animals. Can't say enough about what a great experience we had with her. Highly recommend!!!
Makayla did such an incredible job house sitting for us and watching our dog and cat! She followed all house rules and gave us regular updates. She is trustworthy and kind. Would definitely recommend her!
Makayla sat with our three pups, two of which are finicky eaters, and one of them is special needs due to medical issues and takes a great deal of medication. I had some concerns because they had had the same sitter for several years, and this was the first time they would be with somebody different in quite a while. I need not have worried at all because Makayla was great with our dogs! They ate well for her and the dog who needed medication took it easily from her. She communicated regularly, which eased my mind and sent just the right amount of pictures! I could plainly see how happy and relaxed our dogs were! When we returned home, our house was exactly as we had left it. Makayla followed all of my instructions for care of the dogs. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for any type of animal care!

Knowing the animal personally is a key. I’d love for the owner to provide me with the typical behaviors and daily routines your pets prefers. That way based on how they are acting with me, I can detect if their behavior is not typical or if they are uncomfortable. I want your pets to feel safe and loved while in my care. Also it’s super important to let me know what types of behaviors to expect on walks, especially if they aren’t friendly towards other dogs!
A typical day
I’m an avid hiker and love to find local trails to walk on. After a long walk I’d assess their energy level and decide if we should play or rest.
