Pet care experience
I am a 25 year old young professional who loves all animals! I am an approved foster for multiple rescues so I have a lot of experience loving and caring for animals that are not mine. I also have experience staying overnight at individuals houses caring for their dogs & house while they’re away. I’ve cared for up to 3 dogs & a cat at the same time and various ages (from 5 weeks-15 years old). Some of my responsibilities have included feeding, walking, medicating, bathing and more for others dogs! I have cared for blind dogs as well as dogs with seizures & anxiety & managed their medications for weeks at a time and am able to react in emergency situations. I have my own 60lb olde English bulldog that I care for and was able to manage caring for her in college while playing a sport and going to classes. Your pet will be in good hands.

I am so glad we connected with Makayla. She was able to calm our strong, energetic, and crazy Bernie down on walks and train him (and even teach me a technique to train him) to walk next to her. Makayla does a great job with our 2 month old berner puppy. She has been doing drop-in visits for us for a couple weeks now. She is very reliable, responsive, and flexible with our schedule. I definitely recommend Makayla.
I’m sooo happy I found Makayla on the rover app! She responded to my messages and requests instantly. She’s extremely flexible with me and scheduling with taking my dog Fiona out. I was nervous about finding a dog walker because my Fiona is a strong pitbull who lovessss to pull on the leash and play rough. She takes my dog for a long walk and plays outside in the yard with her with no issues! She updates me always with lots of adorable pictures and makes me feel completely comfortable and reassured that my dog is in good hands. I would highly recommend Makayla!

I have a fenced in patio / balcony area that my dog loves to hang out in. I also make sure my dog & any other dogs in my care are wearing a collar at all times & always on a leash when outside on walks.

If your dog has any behavioral or medical needs just let me know ahead of time. For example, if your dog resource guards his/her toys or food I will feed separate from my dog & make sure they are separate when chewing their favorite bone or toy.
A typical day
I will play fetch, tug or just cuddle your dog. Whatever makes them comfortable. I have a pretty chill bulldog who will play or just cuddle depending on your dogs wants / needs. I live only a block from main st manayunk so we have tons of room for long walks and even visits to the pet friendly dog bakery.
