My name is MaKayla, I’m 23 Year’s old and I’m originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana. I attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln for my first year of college. Upon completion I moved back home to attend Purdue University of Fort Wayne so I could be closer to family. I now live on my own in Fort Wayne, IN and have some free time! I have always had dog sitting jobs on the side since I was 16 & have actually done Rover in the past. I have always loved working around animals but I am very much a dog person. Growing up my parents never wanted one until we were older, now that I am on my own I have my own dogs which sparked me to come back to Rover and introduce them to more pups!

Rest assured that your pet will never be left outside unattended or out of sight. Dogs will always be leashed upon walking and going outside unless presented with a fenced in yard.

I am experienced with dogs with diabetes as I’ve owned and cared for 2 of my own. Let me know if any special needs, health, or behavior concerns so I can best accommodate your dog. I will not take on dogs in my own home who have dog aggressive personalities as I have 3 of my own pups I need to keep safe.
A typical day
I love to keep dogs as active as possible so lots of physical and mental stimulation with toys, games, walks, hikes, and dog parks are some of my favorite activities to do!

Availability
I am currently working full time during the week (8:30a-4:30p). I am available to do evening drop ins or walks. I am not available to board in my home at this time. I am available to house sit on weekends only at this time.
