Pet care experience
I became a pet sitter because I love caring for both animals and humans, and this allows me to do both. As a volunteer at the Humane Society, and at One-For-All Pet Adoption, pet owners can trust that care deeply for animals. By providing the best and most nurturing companionship for your pet, I will ease the stress of being apart. I currently live with a Yorkie, but in the past I have also had Labradors, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Shih Tzus, and Huskies. We raised them from sweet pups to full grown companions, so I feel very comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also love to be active, spending my time running or walking, so high-energy dogs are no problem for me.

Unfortunately, my first experience did not go well. I was leaving for an overnight trip and wanted a sitter who was available to stay at my home where my relatively new rescue dog was familiar and where she would be comfortable. It was my first time leaving her so I was a bit hesitant, however, I felt I had done my research with selecting someone who would be a good choice. My dog is 15 months and still requires some supervision, both in the house and outside in the fenced yard. Sadly, my dog was left home alone, in her crate on 3 occasions during a 36 hour stay. This sitter left for several hours the first afternoon, three hours before I returned home the next day (he wasn't even there when I arrived home) and left again between the hours of 1:00am to 5:30am and which time my home was left unlocked. The sitters explanation for leaving in the early morning hours was so he could go to his "other job". I'm not sure why he accepted MY job knowing he was not available to stay during the night which was the most important time for someone to be there. I was made aware of the situation by my sister who lives next door, heard my dog barking and went over to check on the house and dog. (It's very unusual for my dog to bark continually) I was extremely disappointed with this experience and would not be able to recommend this young man to anyone else looking for a reliable, dependable sitter for their beloved pet...And for leaving my home unlocked after receiving very specific instuctions with regard to that.
I cannot thank Makario enough for watching my 2 babies. I didn’t have to do much because they were in great care the whole day xx
I would highly recommend Makario as your dog or cat sitter. My husband and I travel frequently, and we have used nearly ten different sitters over the past few months. I usually give them five star reviews because I feel bad giving anything less than that, but Makario is one of the few that truly deserves a five star review. He was responsive to my (arguably too frequent) texts, he sent lots of pictures, and our dog seemed to take to him immediately. You should book him - except on those weekends that I want to book him :)
Makario has been great with my two dogs (ur kids) TJ and Rocky. They are very happy when they see him and are happy and calm when I get back from traveling. Rocky has epilepsy and has to be on a very focused regiment Makario is great with keeping him on his routine. Makario is also very respectful of my place , it is always clean and orderly when I get back. Dishes washed, beds made etc. I would highly recommend him to watch your pups.

We’ll start the day with breakfast and water, then go for a walk. After that is playtime and naptime. We’ll start the whole cycle again at lunch. I love to go to dog parks if my client is a social butterfly, or maybe a beach that allows pets. We could even go for a run if the dogs are up for it!
