The dogs always enjoy there stay with Makala. She is the best!

We chose Makayla to care for our 3 dogs while staying in our home for several reasons. During the meet and greet our animals seemed to enjoy her, she was comfortable with our very large dogs and the schedule she told us she would keep seemed like it would work for our babies. Additionally she had 5 stars and good reviews. We felt like we could trust her to care for our babies in our place and they would be well cared for. Sadly this was not at all the case. Our trust was abused and the LACK of care provided to our pups was borderline abusive. Makayla did not maintain the schedule she told us she would and our pups were left alone for usually at least 12 hours each day during the week. On her last day, she arrived back to my home at 3 am, left again around 8:30 am and never returned except for a 10 minute window around 1 pm knowing she was contracted until 10 pm and that our plane was arriving at midnight. My large female pup was in heat which she knew ahead of time and said was not a problem. Because of this she had a diaper cover on. Because she was not let out regularly and not fed as requested she developed diarrhea that she was forced to sit in for hours. She now has sores on her bottom. My house had feces on the floors and walls and her crate was covered in feces. I worried about my pups the entire time I was gone. Makayla had the number of my son and daughter in law and could have called them if she needed help and they would have helped, but she didn’t. It should be noted that we provided Makala with typed detailed instructions on how to care for the pups. This was reviewed at the meet and greet as well as the day before we left. Should she have been unable to care for them as we agreed she had ample opportunity to let us know or request assistance if she had a problem. This was the absolute worst experience we have ever had related to our pups. I should add that after communicating our concerns we did get a full refund. I would like to have selected no stars but it would not allow me to leave a review without the star rating.
