I absolutely love animals and have been around them my entire life. As a little girl I found a bird trapped in our rose bush and a thorn had poked through its wing. I was maybe 6 years old so I didn’t really know what to do. However, I knew we had 4-H supplies in the barn so I applied an animal grade antibiotic on the wing with a q-tip… haha. I also have trials and tribulations with my current pet, Mira. Mira is in good health, but she was my first real pet, so I learned everything I know through trial and error. She ate two coins as a baby and couldn’t pass them, that was an expensive surgery. Then she ate some decon at my parents house. Did you know there are two different types of decon? One type won’t really have an effect on dogs, while the other can cause neurological damage. Also my sister in law has significantly more experience with animals and currently works at a police dog dog kennel. I always have went to her with questions and she’s very knowledgeable about dogs, cats and farm animals alike.
