I worked at an animal emergency hospital in SA as a tech assistant to gain experience in my venture towards veterinary school. I performed blood draws, looked at fecal samples, observed abnormal behavior, and worked under the supervision of a veterinarian. I was scheduled dog grooming 2 days a week, where I extracted anal glands, bathe, cleaned ears, and clipped nails. I work within an oncology department at an emergency veterinary clinic. I have a Bachelor’s in Science in Biology and minor in Civic Engagement. I finished as President of UTSA Women in Medicine Organization. I’ve learned to love what I do with Rover over the past two years and it is a great perspective to make me a better doctor in the future. I have learned how to respond in stressful situations with a dog or cat, and how to properly assess the pet. I’ve spent the last 4-5 years in animal shelter’s or shadowing doctors. I currently take care of my own golden doodle and a schnoodle. I am confident in my abilities to give all the love your pet needs along with the mental stimulation that promotes a happy, healthy pet.
