I've trained dogs for AKC obedience & show. Currently without a dog of my own, so love sitting and having walking companions until I am rescued by another furever love! I also support a non-profit dog & cat rescue; rescuing from high kill shelters in the Southern States and transporting them by air to no kill shelters throughout the Northern States (over 30,000 precious souls rescued so far). I have an African Gray Parrot that is dog friendly. I've had her for 38 years.

Maja is unbelievably good, she loves my dog as much as we love him. When we go away we don’t have that nagging worry about how our dog is going to be. When my dog comes home he has been exercise enough to be completely worn out and content. We could not have asked for a better sitter than Maja.

I live in an apartment with easy access to a yard, and enjoy taking long walk regularly. In my home, pets are welcome on the furniture and bed. If you've crate trained your dog, I will accommodate that too. If I'm sitting a pet in your home and you have a yard, I offer walks and lots of yard play time, but most of all, lots of love and snuggles!

Any special characteristics, fobias, motivations, dietary needs, medical needs, habits, and especially what your furbaby loves the most. How your dog interacts with other dogs, cats, children, in social situations and in a home environment. I live in an apartment, so for overnight stays I will need to know if your dog is prone to barking.
A typical day
I love walking the Kirkland beaches and parks, and on weekends hikes on the beautiful trails throughout the area. Also, socializing with other people and fur babies in downtown Kirkland, if your dog tends to be social and non-aggressive. I usually walk or hike 4 to 5 miles a day. Happy to play tug-a-war or fetch in the park and/or the beach/lake.

Availability
I work most of the time from home, and I can go for several long walks a day. If I do have to go into the office, it's dog friendly and am happy to bring your dog too if that is amendable to you! Kirkland is a beautiful area to walk rain or shine & I especially like taking walks at the parks and beaches.
