Quite simply, I miss having a dog! I grew up with both working and pet dogs but unfortunately with the nature of our jobs, my partner and I would struggle to have our own. I am however a current animal owner as I have two horses and my partner previously had westies. Usefully, my mum is a vet and I would like to think some of that care knowledge rubbed off too! It's a pleasure to look after a dog even if it's only for a short time and as I have a car, when I have looked after dogs previously they have benefited from good long walks. We have recreational grounds and the common a short distance from the house and my partner and I work from home regularly. I do like to know the dog has solid foundations in their training, but as an experienced owner, I am open to various different breeds and personalities of dogs.
