Hey y'all! I'm Maigan, a southern transplant who moved away from my family's dogs (lhasa apso, pit bull, whippet/ retriever mix) in January. I have been pet-sitting and pet-walking for over a decade. A self-professed quintessential dog person, the only thing missing from my life currently is getting to love on and talk to and play with dogs of all shapes and sizes, old and young. I have experience walking, training (basic commands, English and Spanish), potty-training, administering medication (oral, eye drops, skincare), special needs (deviated septum, prolapsed uterus, tripedal), weight loss (food-obsessed beagles!), boarding, and emergency scenarios (seizure, brown recluse spider bite). I'm responsible, fun, and 100% committed to loving your dog the way I love mine! Let me know how I can make you and your best bud happy.

Maigan loves dogs more than she loves people. Seriously. She is incredibly caring and will put the dog's needs before her own. Not only will your dog get the requisite walkies and feeding, but also the playfulness and affection he or she desires while you are away. Maigan dogsat for my beloved Pretzel (aka Pretzilla, aka Pret A Manger, aka Elvis Pretzley) and treated him like a king. She took a series of pictures with him donning a slew of outfits and partaking in different activities, one for each night of the week I was away. My mom used these pictures to make her 2017 calendar. She also sent me videos of her singing very beautiful songs to him, undoubtedly soothing his worried soul. Bottom line - Maig will care for your dog like no one else, and she'll love it.

I have no breed preferences. I believe that there are no bad dogs, only bad owners, and especially love misunderstood dogs-- pit bulls, rottweilers, german shepherds, etc. Don't bully my breed!
A typical day
Depending upon the energy level, location of the dog, and how dog-friendly the animal is, we will either find a dog park to run out some energy, or a quiet, shaded series of streets for a long sniffing extravaganza. I love taking dogs down to the water (because the smells are excellent there), and mayyyybe we'll have a little roll around in some grass in a park if we can squeeze it in.
